SS Sealing Bushings are precision-machined cylindrical sleeves manufactured from stainless steel — primarily SS 304, SS 316, and SS 316L — designed to provide a leak-proof seal between rotating shafts, static housings, or mating surfaces in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. They serve as critical interface components preventing fluid or gas leakage under high pressure and temperature conditions.
Filtration Gaskets are precision-perforated or profiled flat/ring components manufactured from stainless steel, used as sealing and flow-control elements in filter assemblies, strainer systems, and fluid separation equipment. The precision-patterned perforations allow controlled flow rates while preventing particulate bypass.
At OM Engineering Works, we manufacture both SS sealing bushings and filtration gaskets using advanced CNC precision turned components lines and Traub automatic lathes at our Bhayandar, Mumbai facility — supported by full CNC machining infrastructure and inspection capability — achieving bore tolerances as tight as ±0.005mm and surface finishes up to Ra 0.4.
Stainless steel — particularly SS 316L — offers exceptional corrosion resistance in chloride-rich environments, excellent machinability for tight-tolerance bores and perforations, high tensile strength at elevated temperatures, and full compliance with FDA, USP, and EU food-contact material standards. This makes it the preferred material over brass or MS for pharmaceutical, food-grade, marine, and chemical applications.

Certified SS 304 / 316 / 316L bar stock and plate sourced from SAIL, Jindal, and accredited mills with EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificates. Full heat number traceability maintained throughout production.
Chemical composition verified via spectrometer analysis. Dimensional checks on bar OD. Hardness verification before machining begins. Rejected material quarantined immediately.
Sealing bushings rough-turned on CNC turning centres, followed by finish turning on Traub automatic lathes for bore and OD. Precision boring bars used for tight-tolerance ID features. Live tooling for cross-holes and slots.
Filtration gaskets profiled via CNC turning. Perforation patterns executed via CNC punching or laser cutting. Wire EDM used for micro-perforations and irregular slot geometries. All holes deburred via vibratory finishing.
BSP / NPT / Metric threads cut on thread-rolling or single-point threading.O-ring grooves cut to DIN 3869 standard and manufactured alongside our custom engineered CNC components for hydraulic and process equipment assemblies. Electropolishing available for pharma/food-grade components. Passivation per ASTM A967 on request.
100% dimensional inspection on CMM for critical dimensions. Bore gauge checks on every sealing bushing. Profile projector verification on gasket perforations. Full dimensional report provided with each shipment.
