Because these hinges are typically made in two distinct halves (a male pin bottom and a female hollow top), they inherently act as Lift-Off Hinges, allowing the user to simply lift the door upward to separate the halves and remove the door entirely.

Electrical control panels and server cabinets often sit in tight factory spaces. During wiring, installation, or heavy maintenance, a swinging door is constantly in the technician's way.
